Mace champions strength through unity with Pride installation
Mace, the delivery consultants and construction experts, has marked Pride Month 2025 with the unveiling of jigsaw puzzle installations across ten of its locations. Launched at its UK headquarters in London, with Kate Osborne MP, the initiative has been led by Mace’s Pride at Mace Employee Resource Group.
With the theme 'Stronger Together', the installation is a 2.4m x 2.4m jigsaw puzzle composed of numerous interlocking pieces. Inspired by Piet Mondrian’s art, the puzzle features bold geometric shapes and a spectrum of colours separated by white lines. Each piece carries meaning; that when fitted together, they form a cohesive image symbolising strength in unity.
Caroline Lassen, Director for Programme and Project Management, Mace Consult, says:
“Created by our Pride at Mace Employee Resource Group, these latest instillations symbolise unity, resilience and inclusion across the company.
“The assembled puzzles reinforce that it’s the combination of every piece that gives the installation its full strength and meaning.
“The theme 'Stronger Together' thereby highlights collective empowerment and is a reminder that inclusive environments are necessary for people to act with confidence, knowing they are supported.”
Speaking at the unveiling, Kate Osborne, MP, said:
“It’s so important that equality, inclusivity, and pride are at the centre of all things we do, and Pride Month gives us the opportunity to celebrate the achievements and endurance of our LGBTQIA+ community.
“It is brilliant to see businesses like Mace embrace and uplift the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride Month - this is the kind of visibility that really matters. Having ‘Stronger Together’ as the theme is really needed right now, with our trans+ siblings being vilified by a hateful minority, this visibility and act of solidarity is more important than ever.”
Winnie King, Executive Assistant, Mace Group, comments:
“The jigsaw puzzle installation has meaning and is a statement of our values. It encapsulates what Pride at Mace is about: bringing people together, celebrating our diversity and supporting each other."
Mace is grateful to Protec Floor Protection for the design and manufacture of the puzzle pieces and Giddings & Son who provided an elevated wooden ramp to showcase the puzzle at 155 Moorgate, London.
