With ambitious national plans to reshape its infrastructure, Peru is empowering generational opportunity.
That’s why we are working to support the delivery of large-scale infrastructure programs and the sustainable development of vital industries that power the nation’s economy.
Partnerships fuel our mission in this region. Alongside capable government ministries and collaborative partners, we are providing project management and PMO services to deliver on commitments benefitting the nation socially, economically and environmentally.
Resilience is at the core of our work in the region. With consultancy expertise rooted in decades of construction delivery, our teams and partners work with sustainable and resilient materials to implement designs aimed at creating lasting, stable infrastructure. In this way, we aim to serve local communities for decades to come.
We’re acutely aware of the role construction plays in building culture. Through our work in education, we’re developing facilities to educate the next generation of leaders. We’ve worked on programs to deliver stadiums and venues capable of honoring the cultural achievements of not just the entire country, but the continent.
In partnership with its leaders, we’re working to strengthen Peru. For today, and generations to come.
The Mace difference
Unlike providers that do everything from design to engineering and construction, everything we do is focused on delivery. Unfettered by conflicting interests, we’re uniquely positioned to serve owners’ project interests. We apply industry-best expertise to achieve superior outcomes.
As an agile partner, we build expert teams around clients, with relevant industry experience and local know-how to efficiently deliver their programs, while also imparting knowledge and development to local organizations and supply chains for future developments.
World stage competition. World class outcomes.
Lima’s 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games marked significant firsts for Peru. Its first time hosting a global, multi-sport event on the world stage. The first major infrastructure program to attract investments on an international scale. And the first megaprogram to serve as a catalyst to create enduring socioeconomic value benefiting the celebrated people, communities and culture of the Peruvian state.
Applying our experience delivering the London 2012 Games as the most successful and sustainable Olympics in history, we worked with local partners to similarly deliver accessible and sustainable venues to serve communities for the long-term, beyond the Games.
We used an innovative contracting approach to bring high-value investments into Lima, ultimately helping to close the infrastructure gap. In addition to economic benefits, we also worked to build a legacy of opportunities and value for surrounding communities.
Restoring resilient communities
Following the catastrophic El Niño floods that ravaged communities in the northern and central regions, displacing 420,000 residents, we are working with Peru’s National Infrastructure Authority as part of a UK-Peru government and industry collaboration with Arup and Gleeds. We’re leading a $7 billion (S/30 billion PEN), national infrastructure reconstruction and resilience program including 140 projects.
Together with local suppliers and stakeholders, we’ve marshalled the resources to deliver modern, new infrastructure – including schools, hospitals and flood protections – safeguarding the lives and livelihoods of 5 million people, while elevating local capabilities to create a lasting legacy of opportunity and socioeconomic value.
Bolstering education
In conjunction with Peru’s bicentennial anniversary, we’re partnering with the Peruvian Ministry of Education and industry peers to serve as the PMO delivering the US$1.6 billion education infrastructure program to build 75 new schools nationwide.
With the Bicentennial Schools program, we’re redefining the delivery of modern education facilities in Peru, while upskilling education and supply chain providers to sustain that progress. The program received international accolades from the Association for Project Management for its transformational benefits.
