  • Commissioned by the German Consulate, it has become a hub for German and Vietnamese collaboration housing key organisations, businesses, retail, and hospitality spaces.
  • Achieved LEED Platinum certification and has been recognised at both the 2017 MIPIM Asia Awards (Silver) and 2016 South-East Asia Property Awards.
  • Set higher standards for both sustainability and health and safety, adopting a league system to reward safe behaviour – introducing techniques that were innovative within the region.

In 2011, Vietnam and Germany forged a strategic partnership to strengthen their political, economic, and cultural ties. This collaboration inspired the creation of Deutsches Haus, a premium-grade office building in Ho Chi Minh City, designed to be a hub for German business and technology, fostering closer relations between the two nations.

By 2014, Mace was appointed by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs to bring this vision to life. Leveraging our expertise in managing high-spec embassy and consulate projects, our dedicated team in Vietnam embarked on the preconstruction phase, laying the groundwork for a landmark development.

Throughout the construction, Mace set new benchmarks in health and safety, transforming local working practices and instilling higher standards in our supply chain and contractors. Our commitment to sustainability was recognised in 2016 when Deutsches Haus earned Vietnam's first LEED Platinum certification, a testament to its low-energy, carbon-efficient design.

In 2017, the building's structure was completed, and Mace undertook the specialist fit-out. This phase emphasised security, incorporating bullet and grenade-proof glass, high-security ductwork, enhanced acoustic protection, and resistance class 3 partition walls.

Today, Deutsches Haus stands as a beacon of smart, secure, and stylish architecture, one of Vietnam's most sought-after addresses. It symbolises the strengthened German-Vietnamese relationship and showcases Mace's dedication to excellence. Our local team proudly made it their new home, reflecting the project's success and lasting impact on the community.
