Walgreens, the United States' largest pharmacy-driven retail chain, boasts a portfolio of over 8,000 locations across North America and a majority stake in the UK's biggest pharmacy chain, Boots.
In 2012, our team was appointed to deliver Walgreens' Well Experience Remodel Programme, aimed at enhancing store layouts and boosting customer experience through interior makeovers.
We provided project and programme management services on a national scale, driving maintenance and renovation programmes along with entire store remodels. Our role soon expanded into a framework agreement, overseeing numerous facility and real estate initiatives throughout the US and Puerto Rico.
To date, we have worked across all of Walgreens' retail portfolio, delivering remodels, capital improvements, asset management, maintenance upgrades, and special projects. We have also completed around 150 new and flagship stores, involving ground-ups and full interior fitouts.
Our integrated team approach, commissioned on a per-contract basis, has facilitated vast works between Walgreens and our people. We collaborate extensively with the internal team, managing architects and contractors to ensure stores remain fully operational and disruption-free. With work taking place during the day and/or overnight, we ensure optimal efficiency through pre-construction walkthroughs and robust communication.
