Crown Commercial Service appoints Mace to £2.9bn consultancy framework

Crown Commercial Service has announced that it has awarded Mace a place on three lots of the Project Management & Full Design Team Services (PMFDTS) framework.

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) is an Executive Agency of the Cabinet Office, supporting the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.

The framework – also known as RM3741 – will allow central and local government bodies to procure project management, design and advisory services to support delivery of property and construction projects.

The agreement will be available to public sector organisations for the next two years, with an option to extend for another two years in 2019.

Mace has been awarded a place on all three of the lots it applied for:

Lot 1 - Multi-Disciplinary Services
Lot 2 - Project Management Services
Lot 4 - Cost Management Services

Mark Holmes, Mace’s Chief Operating Officer for Consultancy, said:

“This new framework will simplify procurement of a wide range of project management, design and advisory services for a big proportion of Britain’s public sector. Mace’s places on the framework will give us access to new clients, as well as helping existing clients procure our services in a more streamlined and straight-forward way.

“Simpler public sector procurement can only be a good thing – as well as helping to push forward specific projects, it will contribute to wider British economic growth and support the Government’s emerging industrial strategy.”
