Mace unveils new consultancy leadership team

Mace, the global consultancy and construction business, has announced a number of new promotions and appointments as it reshapes its consultancy division. The announcement follows Mace’s wider corporate leadership restructure, announced in September 2019, and the promotion of Jason Millett to Mace’s Chief Executive of Consultancy. 

Mace’s consultancy business delivers services to public and private sector clients, working on iconic infrastructure schemes such as Dubai Expo 2020; as well as global frameworks for corporate clients. It provides strategic advice on business and estates transformation from the built environment to some of the world’s most high-profile organisations and companies. 

Following two years of success that have seen overall consultancy revenue grow by 25%, the two strands of Mace’s consultancy business – property and infrastructure – have now been brought together under a single leadership team for the first time. Jason will be supported by two new managing directors: Davendra Dabasia as Managing Director for International, and Daniel Easthope as Managing Director for Property UK and Europe. 

The wider changes to Mace’s wider Group Board structure have directly empowered the new Consultancy leadership team, giving them full accountability and control of the strategic direction of the business. Alongside Davendra and Daniel, a number of other new promotions and appointments have been made to leadership of Mace’s sector-specific consultancy teams and a new team of service-line leads. 

The new service line leadership includes Zoe Madams, the new lead for PMO services, Isabel McAlister for responsible business, Steve Mason, who leads cost consultancy, Mike Shaw the lead for technical services and David Rumsey, who will run project and programme management. 

The newly appointed sector and regional leadership includes Caroline Lassen, Mace’s new Director of Public Sector, Colin Harvey, Director of UK Regions, Sean Gray, Director of Rail and Highways, Andy Sharples, who leads the newly combined Energy, Utilities and Defence business; and Carl Dainter who has been appointed to lead a new Global Aviation business.

Internationally, Mace’s consultancy business works across the globe on a hugely varied range of projects and programmes; everything from the construction of the tallest skyscraper in Vietnam, the delivery of the Lima 2019 Pan-American Games and iconic feats of engineering like the world’s largest cantilever on One Za'abeel Tower in Dubai. Promotions in the international leadership team include a regional director role for Nick Brand and in Sub-Saharan Africa for Simon Herd. 

These leadership teams sit alongside a number of major projects and programmes which report directly into the Consultancy board. These include the new HS2 Station at Euston and Stratford Waterfront on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
