Mace targets growth in pharma with two senior hires

Mace, the international construction and consultancy company, today announced the appointment of directors Claire Sedgwick and Sandra Davies, strengthening Consult’s pharma expertise and targeting new growth in the sector.

Claire Sedgwick will be leading Mace Consult’s pharma new business function and its growth strategy.

A qualified Civil Engineer, Claire has a background in delivering complex and challenging projects with over 15 years’ experience in the highways, nuclear, power and pharma sectors, delivering successful outcomes for clients and growing market share.

Sandra Davies is a chartered chemical engineer with a wealth of experience in a variety of industries, including water, waste water, oil and gas and nuclear. Sandra joins Mace from Jacobs, where she built a strong background in chemical process engineering.

Responsible for the safe delivery and technical oversight of various nuclear decommissioning projects, from studies and concept design through to commissioning and preparation for site operations, Sandra has developed core process engineering skills through working in various companies, ranging from optimising manufacturing processes in the food packaging industry to designing water treatment facilities and pressure relief valves. 

Mace’s track record in the pharma sector includes the delivery of one of the world’s largest and most innovative diagnostic facilities, the Rosalind Franklin Laboratory, project and cost management services for Roche’s two laboratory buildings in Santa Clara, California, and the delivery of GlaxoSmithKline’s GSK House at Ulverston.
