  • Situated adjacent to the world’s busiest airport, the Porsche Experience centre sits on a 27-acre site, spanning seven storeys high, and will house 400 employees.
  • Seamlessly integrates work and play, with several restaurants, an external business centre, data centre, and technical training centre all under one roof.
  • Alongside a commercial experience for automotive enthusiasts, the centre also features a 1.6 mile road course that loops through the heart of the building.

From 2012, we collaborated with Porsche Cars North America, HOK Architects, and Whiting-Turner to develop an experience centre for automotive enthusiasts. The seven-storey, 450,000 sq ft building, set over 27 acres, includes office space for 400 employees, restaurants, an external business centre, a data centre, and a technical training centre.

To make the $100m facility truly special, the iconic sports car brand also required a retail outlet, classic car display and restoration workshop, and the world-class ‘Porsche Experience Centre’ featuring a unique 1.6 mile driver development track.

Mace provided specialist programme management services to the LEED-certified building, located adjacent to the world’s busiest airport and within reach of 80% of the US via a two-hour flight.

The project was extremely high profile, and its success correlates to the strength of the relationship we built with Porsche Cars North America. We were appointed during the early stages of the design process to help the client through the challenging programme. This early engagement allowed us to develop a partnership, truly represent their interests, and foster a collaborative culture throughout the project.

With such an iconic brand, the project was never going to be an average headquarters development. Making the Porsche brand an experience, not only for employees but also for customers and visitors, was the guiding principle. The client required a Porsche shop, classic car display, and restoration workshop to celebrate the brand's legacy. The ‘Porsche Experience Centre’ features a unique driver development track showcasing the company’s sports cars.

Porsche's new headquarters and experience centre will be a popular destination for enthusiasts and employees for years to come. It stands as a state-of-the-art facility, an example of world-class delivery partnership, and a project that helped establish us as a successful project management company in North America.
