Project story

The prestigious Tadawul Tower development started in early 2010. Our first project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mace was chosen to project and cost manage the visionary 42-storey mixed-use complex designed by Japanese architects, Nikken Sekkei.

The striking tower comprises quality office space, retail and conference facilities, in addition to a bespoke 1,600 square metre tier 4 data centre. It will also feature the largest media wall in the province.

The top seven floors of the renowned building are the new location for the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul), central to the vision for the future of the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh.

Points of note

Managing the complexities and challenges

As with any city project, careful management of logistics and coordination were key to the delivery of this landmark. The construction of the tower was complex because of its ever changing geometry and the construction team were coordinating live infrastructure works surrounding the site. This included district cooling, utilities, elevated roads to interlinking pedestrian skywalks and a monorail system.

Highest safety standards, anywhere in the world

For more than 25 years, Mace has worked diligently to find a better way to deliver high-quality, iconic projects and programmes while creating a culture where it is simply unacceptable for anyone to get hurt at work. With safety an absolute priority, we were delighted that the three million man hours undertaken throughout the Tadawul Tower project were achieved accident free.
