Mace Foundation raises money for Dubai Cares

The Mace Foundation beat its UAE fundraising target in 2017 and raised more than AED 145,000 (approx. £28k) for local charities.

The Mace Foundation has been raising money for Dubai Cares since 2016 to improve children’s access to quality, primary education in developing countries.

Last year, employees got stuck in to fundraising by taking part in sponsored activities ranging from cycling challenges, sponsored walks and quiz nights raising AED 145,953 for Dubai Cares.

The money will be used by Dubai Cares to support all of their existing programmes such as their ‘Ensuring the Supportive and Safe Quality of Education for Girls in Egypt’ programme.

Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Cares said:

“We are very pleased to partner with the Mace Foundation whose contribution to Dubai Cares is valuable and will undoubtedly help us reach more underprivileged children and young people around the world.

“Through this generous donation, we hope to transform the lives of underprivileged children and young people, thus helping them build a promising and thriving future for themselves.”

Desi Aitcheson, Mace Foundation Trustee, said:

“We are thrilled to have raised this huge amount of money for Dubai Cares. We hope that the funds raised by Mace will help make a huge difference to so many children and young people’s lives in developing countries.
