Mace joins Stonewall Diversity Champion programme

Mace has joined Stonewall’s Diversity Champion programme, the UK’s leading employers’ programme for ensuring all LGBT+ employees are accepted, without exception, in the workplace. 

The move reflects a fresh emphasis from Mace on the importance of creating an inclusive and diverse workplace as part of the company’s 2022 Business Strategy. This has included the formation of a number of community groups to promote and support a diverse workplace; and the appointment of an Inclusion manager. 

Stonewall work with more than 750 organisations across the public and private sectors. Membership of the programme will enable Mace to assess our progress on LGBT+ equality through Stonewall’s benchmarking tool, the Workplace Equality Index. This will involve Mace working with Stonewall to review policies and processes across the organisation to ensure that they are LGBT+ inclusive. 

Mace will be marking Pride Month with a display in the company’s global headquarters in 155 Moorgate and a number of events hosted by the company’s LGBT+ group ‘Pride at Mace’ celebrating the importance of promoting diversity across the organisation.
