Richard Bienfait takes up Group Chief Finance Officer role at Mace
Richard Bienfait has joined Mace as its new Group Chief Finance Officer.
Richard joins from UPP Ltd, where he served as Chief Executive of the UK’s leading provider of on-campus residential and academic accommodation infrastructure.
Prior to UPP, Richard held a number of senior executive roles in the infrastructure sector. Between 2010 and 2015 he was CEO of Affinity Water, and between 2004 and 2009 he was CFO of Veolia Water in the UK.
Richard joins Mace at an exciting time, with the company leading change across the construction industry.
Mace has recently restructured its leadership team, appointing a Chief Executive Officer across the company’s four ‘Engines for Growth’: Develop, Consult, Construct and Operate.
Mace’s divisions will have greater influence and control over their strategies, within the framework created by the Group Board, and Richard will lead the Group overall financial strategy.
Richard Bienfait, Chief Finance Officer at Mace, said:
“I am very excited to work for Mace, a business I have known well as a key supplier for the last 14 years. This allows me to bring an important client perspective that I can share with my colleagues. It’s always been important to me that I work with businesses that have a great and clear purpose and that contribute to improving our society and respects our environment.
