Mace takes home a sweep of RoSPA medals
Mace’s commitment to health, safety and wellbeing has been recognised at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) 2020 awards.
Mace received a total of 11 awards across our business units, including eight Gold Medal Awards and one President’s Award.
Having now won 10 consecutive Gold Awards, Mace Logistics has become Mace’s first business unit to win the prestigious President's Award.
The RoSPA awards recognise organisations' commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill-health prevention at work. The scheme is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas with judges considering entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Gold Medals are awarded to organisations or business units that have won between five and nine consecutive gold awards. A number of Mace’s business units received this prestigious accolade, including Mace Macro, Mace MEP, Mace International Technology, Commercial Offices, Mace Interiors, Mace Tech, Residential and PREACH. Mace Macro has also achieved its seventh consecutive Gold Medal.
Three of our most high-profile construction projects also received Gold Awards. These were the iconic transformation of East Bank at Stratford Waterfront; Battersea Power Station, one of London’s landmark regeneration schemes; and One Crown Place, a high-rise mixed-use development in the City of London.
Jason Millett, CEO for Consultancy at Mace and Group Board Sponsor for Health and Safety, said:
“Health, safety and wellbeing is a core value at Mace, and we are committed to making sure that everyone who works on our projects goes home safe and well at the end of every day. As a result, it is fantastic to be once again recognised at the prestigious RoSPA awards. I congratulate all of our award winners on a job well done, particularly to the Mace Logistics team for their President’s Award.”
Andy Brown, Group Health and Safety Director at Mace, added:
“We are very proud that so many Mace business units have again received recognition at this year’s RoSPA awards. Everyone at Mace and the other stakeholders we work with on our projects has a part to play in ensuring that our commitment to health, safety and wellbeing is second to none, and our success at RoSPA reflects how seriously our people take that role.”
