Mace boosts Consult leadership team to support plans for global growth

Mace Group, the global delivery consultant and construction expert, has made a number of international leadership appointments in key positions following the January 1 succession of Jason Millett as Group Chief Executive and Davendra Dabasia as CEO of Mace Consult, the role formerly held by Millett.

Millett is credited for spearheading growth as the industry’s preeminent provider entirely focused on delivery leveraging Mace’s construction expertise.

With the company on track to post another revenue record, Jason Millett, Mace Group Chief Executive, says:

“We have diversified our portfolio over the past decade to serve the world’s leading organisations, from infrastructure to commercial and financial services, to advanced life sciences, manufacturing and technology facilities.”

Based in New York, James Reeves joins Mace in a new role as Global Head of Cities and Places. James joins Mace from CBRE where he recently held the post of Global Chief Operating Officer for project management, overseeing $300 billion in capital projects for multinational clients. Prior to this, James was Global Head of Capital Projects for Barclays Capital.

In response to the growing trend towards urbanisation and climate change, Mace’s Cities & Places experts are using emerging technologies and the concept of smart cities to build the urban centres of the future which must be sustainable and resilient.

Mace’s footprint in the Americas has grown significantly in recent years with notable appointments in Canada on the Go Expansion Metrolinx programme in Toronto and in the United States as delivery partner for the Hudson Tunnel Project, one of the most significant global megaprojects.

Also joining Mace as Head of Latin America, Oscar Caipo brings 25 years of experience in executive consultancy in business management, risk, technology, infrastructure and sustainability serving multinational clients throughout the region. Oscar’s previous role was as Senior Partner and President in Peru at KPMG.

Based in Lima, Mace is expanding across the region from its headquarters in Peru where Mace supported the delivery of the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games and is working on projects to improve resilience after the devastating effects of climate catastrophes.

Elsewhere, in Mace’s Europe hub Antonio Moreno is joining the company as Country Lead for Spain where Mace fulfils project and programme management, responsible business and cost and commercial management services to public and private sector clients. With wide ranging and relevant experience, Antonio is set to grow Mace’s footprint into energy, manufacturing and technology.

As part of these latest appointments, Matthew Fitch has also been promoted to the role of Country Lead in the Philippines, a key market in Mace’s Asia Pacific hub where Mace is leading the way with innovative solutions that support economic growth while addressing environmental concerns, particularly when it comes to data centres.

Davendra Dabasia, Chief Executive Officer for Mace Consult, said:

“In line with the wider Group, Mace Consult has ambitious growth plans across our global hubs, and these latest appointments not only bring in industry leaders but also tap into our existing strengths within our teams to allow us to expand our services to clients.

“Our teams are known for taking our construction expertise and applying it to project and programme management and with this balance of skills and expertise we are able to take a unique approach to ensure delivery, whilst working safer, smarter and more sustainably.”

With a growing headcount of well over 5,000 people and a revenue currently forecast to be around £700m in 2024, Mace Consult continues to make significant progress against its targets and plans, focusing on delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and communities.
