Mace surpasses gender pay gap target

Mace Group, the global programme and project delivery consultant and construction expert, has reduced its median gender pay gap for 2023/24 in the UK by 10.6%, and its mean pay gap has fallen from 27.8% to 24.8%. 

Announced during National Inclusion Week, Mace has an ambition to be one of the most inclusive employers; helping to drive change and ensure its colleagues feel they are heard and able to bring their whole selves to work. It is because of this ambition that Mace has set a target of a 10% annual improvement on all pay gap measures. 

This year’s gender pay gap results show positive progress against its targets and indicates the company’s efforts to attract and retain diverse talent are making an impact. 

Between 2019/20 and this report for April 2023 to April 2024, Mace’s median gender pay gap has reduced every year, from 40% in 2019/20 to 26.2% today – an overall improvement of 34.6%. 

The data, published in the company’s latest Inclusion Pay Gap Report, also includes voluntary information on Mace’s ethnicity pay gap. Mace launched its refreshed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy last year, outlining ambitious targets to drive forward its inclusion agenda, including committing to increasing representation of women and ethnically diverse colleagues at senior roles.
